For the weekend of Jan. 31–Feb. 1, 2026, three picks from Netflix’s U.S. Top 10 were The Rip, M3GAN 2.0 and K-Pop Demon Hunters. That is a dated chart snapshot—not a guide to Netflix’s current rankings. The list below reflects Tom’s Guide’s count at 11 a.m. ET on Jan. 31, 2026.
Three movies to choose from
These are editorial picks from that weekend’s U.S. chart, not an objective ranking of quality. Choose by the kind of watch you want.
The Rip: a crime-and-heist thriller
The film follows Miami police officers who discover millions of dollars during a bust. Tom’s Guide described it as a high-octane thriller and reported that it had drawn more than 41 million first-week viewers on Netflix. That figure is Tom’s Guide’s report; it is not independently confirmed here by Netflix. The article’s author also found some of the twists predictable, a personal judgment rather than a consensus verdict.
M3GAN 2.0: campy sci-fi action
Listed at No. 1 in the snapshot, the sequel is the pick for viewers who enjoyed the original film’s campier side. Tom’s Guide characterized it as self-aware, over-the-top science-fiction action.

Why Netflix’s Top 10 can look different from one place to another
Netflix distinguishes between the Top 10 rows shown within its service and its public Top 10 website. In-service lists update daily and reflect popular titles in a viewer’s country; the public lists update weekly. Netflix’s weekly rankings are published on Tuesdays and use viewing from Monday through Sunday.
Since June 20, 2023, Netflix has ranked its weekly lists by views while continuing to display hours viewed. The company says, “As we have always said there is no one perfect streaming metric.” Hours watched can favor longer titles, so a chart position is a popularity signal under Netflix’s methodology—not a measure of quality or a definitive comparison of audience preference.

- Melt Butter While You Pop: The included Measuring Cup doubles as a Butter Melting Tray; portion your kernels, then melt butter up top so it's ready to drizzle the moment popcorn is done.
- Compact Countertop Popcorn Machine: This little popper tucks into small kitchens, dorms, and offices; the Top Cover and Measuring Cup rinse clean in warm, soapy water by hand.
