The Manny (also titled El Niñero) stars Sandra Echeverría as Jimena, a single mother and executive, and Iván Amozurrutia as Gabriel “Gaby” Parrilla, the rancher she hires to care for her children. The family, workplace and romantic storylines overlap: Jimena is vying to lead her father’s company while Gaby wins over her children and unsettles her expectations about caregiving and gender roles.
Who plays the main characters in The Manny?
Netflix Tudum’s cast guide maps the principal actors to their roles. Their connections to Jimena and Gaby help explain how the household drama extends into Jimena’s work and relationships.
| Actor | Character | Connection to the story |
|---|---|---|
| Sandra Echeverría | Jimena | An executive and single mother at the center of the series. |
| Iván Amozurrutia | Gabriel “Gaby” Parrilla | A rancher who becomes Jimena’s new nanny and romantic interest. |
| Anthony Giulietti | Leo | Jimena’s youngest son. |
| Alexander Tavizón | Santiago | Jimena’s oldest son. |
| Cassandra Iturralde | Sofía | Jimena’s daughter. |
| Diana Bovio | Brenda | Jimena’s colleague and friend. |
| Josemaría Torre Hütt | Joaquín | Jimena’s ex-husband. |
| Moisés Arizmendi | Rogelio | Jimena’s cousin and rival at work. |
| Eugenio Montessoro | Ernesto | Jimena’s father and boss. |
| Maru Bravo | Romina | Gaby’s godmother. |
| Matías Desideiro | Matías | Jimena’s boyfriend in Season 2; Tudum describes her as engaged to him. |
| Pamela Almanza | Violeta | Gabriel’s ex and business partner in Season 2. |
Netflix’s general title listing spells Leo’s actor’s surname “Giuletti,” while Tudum’s role-by-role guide spells it “Giulietti.” The table follows Tudum for the actor-character mapping; consult current episode credits if exact billing is essential. Netflix’s title page provides a broader cast listing but does not map each performer to a character.
How do the family and workplace storylines connect?
Jimena’s household
Jimena is raising Leo, Santiago and Sofía while her strained relationship with Joaquín is approaching its end. The children’s pranks have driven away previous nannies, making her decision to hire Gaby a turning point. He connects with the children, even as his presence challenges Jimena’s assumptions about men in caregiving roles.

Jimena’s company

What changes in Season 2?
Netflix Tudum’s Season 2 guide says time has passed since Gaby left Jimena’s home for his family ranch in Tepatitlán. Jimena helped bring the ranch back to the family. She is engaged to Matías, while Gabriel is involved with Violeta, his former love and business partner. Their new relationships do not resolve the pull between Jimena and Gaby; the story continues to bring them back toward each other.
