How are the Master of the House characters connected?
The family’s relationships explain the main lines of conflict. Roongroj’s death leaves his heirs—and Kaimook, his newlywed wife—to contend over the estate. His two sons also occupy different positions in the business and household.
#1 Best Overall
- Roongroj and Kaimook: He is the family patriarch; she is a former servant who recently married him.
- Phupat and Mavin: They are Roongroj’s sons. Phupat is the eldest and leads the family business; Mavin is the younger son and a rival in the inheritance struggle.
- Padcha and Araya: Padcha is married to Phupat, while Araya is married to Mavin.
- Yupin and the household staff: As head housemaid, Yupin stands at the center of the servants’ side of the story.
How do Phupat and Mavin differ?
Netflix describes Mavin as “quiet and calculating” and contrasts him with Phupat’s more explosive manner. These are the character descriptions in Netflix’s announcement, not a ranking of the performances. Their difference in temperament sits alongside their different family and business positions: Phupat leads the business, while Mavin is his younger brother and a rival in the inheritance fight.
What is Kaimook’s place in the household?
Kaimook’s position crosses the boundary between staff and family. She enters Roongroj’s household as a maid, then becomes his wife. After his death, that change in status puts her at the center of the conflict with the family’s heirs.

In Netflix’s June 2024 trailer announcement, Narilya “Yada” Gulmongkolpech discussed the series’ portrayal of class inequality through Kaimook’s first entry into the house. She described a scene in which Kaimook must strip so the household’s masters can check her for scars or tattoos. Gulmongkolpech called the scene intense and said it reflected the story’s attention to social class and inequality; her comments describe the fictional scene and her response to it, not a general account of real-world employment practices. Read Netflix’s trailer announcement.
Who are the other characters mentioned in the series?
Netflix’s episode descriptions also name Kita and Shutter. One says Kita prepares to unveil a fashion collection; another says Padcha makes an offer that could save Shutter. The official materials cited here do not map actors to these characters or establish a fuller set of relationships, so they are best treated as story-relevant secondary characters rather than added to the principal cast table. Episode descriptions are on the Netflix title page.

What kind of series is Master of the House?
Master of the House is a 2024 Thai limited drama series. Netflix frames it as a family and estate power struggle that also follows servants who have endured poor treatment and helped conceal their employers’ secrets. Its central tensions include wealth, class, power, and greed. Netflix’s May 2024 announcement describes the series as a premium drama influenced by Thai soap operas, or lakorn.
Director Sivaroj Kongsakul told Netflix that the story centers on managing power and greed, and on whether people’s pursuits can harm others. He said unchecked ambition can damage relationships, families, societies, and nations. His statement appears in Netflix’s announcement; the Netflix Media Center entry identifies Thailand as the country of origin.

How many actors does Netflix list, and which roles are confirmed?
Netflix’s current title page lists ten cast members. Its May 2024 announcement explicitly connects seven performers to characters; the four remaining names on the title page are Latthgarmon Pinrojnkeerathi, Thitinan Rattanathitinan, Narupornkamol Chaisang, and Nuttanan Kunpat. The official materials cited here do not establish their roles, so assigning them would be guesswork. Netflix’s cast listings can vary by region and change over time.
