Baby Animal Cam was a Netflix and Cleveland Metroparks Zoo project in 2023, not a livestream that is still on a weekly schedule. The zoo says recordings can be watched on demand, and Netflix’s Canada listing shows four long-form episodes. Availability may differ by country.
Where can you watch Baby Animal Cam?
Start with Netflix’s Canada title page, which lists the four episodes. Cleveland Metroparks Zoo also describes the recordings as available on demand on its Baby Animal Cam page. Because the Netflix page checked is for Canada, viewers elsewhere should search Netflix in their own territory rather than assume the title is available there.
What is in the series?
The recordings follow young animals and their families, with attention to everyday routines, habitat, play and diet. Cleveland Metroparks identifies four featured species: western lowland gorillas, eastern black rhinos, Bornean orangutans and Asian small-clawed otters.
Netflix lists these four episodes on its Canada page:

These are extended viewing sessions rather than short, edited wildlife segments. The launch-era footage included twin otter pups, two baby orangutans, two baby gorillas and one young rhino, according to Ideastream Public Media’s October 2023 report.
When did the live stream air?
The live broadcasts were a limited 2023 event. Ideastream reported that they ran Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m. Eastern through November 2, 2023. That schedule has ended; the zoo’s current on-demand framing refers to recordings, not a continuing weekly live cam.

Why did Netflix partner with Cleveland Metroparks Zoo?
The collaboration followed an earlier Baby Gorilla Cam centered on Kayembe, a gorilla born at the zoo. In an interview with Ideastream, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Executive Director Christopher Kuhar said Netflix contacted the zoo after Kayembe’s story attracted attention. The zoo had arranged for another female gorilla to act as a surrogate caretaker because Kayembe’s mother did not properly care for him at birth. Kuhar described this as the earliest a baby gorilla had been surrogated onto another animal; that is his attributed description, not a general zoological record claim.
Ideastream also reported that more than 11,500 people from 45 countries took part in a naming poll for the earlier Baby Gorilla Cam. That figure is about the poll, not viewership for Baby Animal Cam; no audience total for the Netflix series is established by the cited sources.
