The dates highlighted below have passed; this guide looks back at what Netflix announced and when those seasons were scheduled to arrive.
What was on Netflix’s 2025 slate?
At its annual showcase on January 30, 2025, Netflix presented a slate spanning returning favorites and new releases across several formats. It named Stranger Things, Wednesday and Squid Game among the returning series, but the announcement was not a complete release calendar for every country.
Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria described the company’s ambition this way: “With more than 700 million people watching, we can’t just be one thing. We need to be the best version of everything”. The quoted passage does not define the measurement window for “more than 700 million,” so it should not be read as a subscriber count.

Netflix announced on January 30 that the third and final season would premiere June 27. These are Netflix’s descriptions of the series.
