Cambios corporales
Cadena SER informó que, en una entrevista de 2024 con el pódcast Call Her Daddy, Furtado habló de los comentarios sobre su apariencia y dijo: “Hay muchos comentarios y gente discutiendo sobre mi apariencia… Mi cuerpo ha cambiado mucho, he tenido tres hijos y tengo curvas”. ¿Qué ocurrió en Manchester Pride?
En otra actuación, en Manchester Pride, AS.com describió una camiseta con la silueta del cuerpo de una mujer y una falda con las palabras “Better than never”. El medio interpretó el vestuario como una respuesta a las críticas, pero esa intención no debe presentarse como una explicación confirmada por Furtado. AS.com también informó que ella había tomado medidas legales contra vendedores en línea que comercializaban servicios apoyándose en mitos de salud y belleza sobre su persona; no hay motivo para reproducir ni respaldar esas afirmaciones.

No hay base para afirmar que esa sea la causa. Cadena SER informó el 9 de noviembre de 2025 que Furtado anunció que se apartaría de la música en directo para centrarse en “otros proyectos”. Aunque el titular de esa cobertura relacionó la noticia con las críticas a su cuerpo, el texto señaló que la cantante no identificó el body-shaming como motivo de su decisión.
