Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo did reprise their roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David—but their spinoff, NCIS: Tony & Ziva, is no longer upcoming. Its ten-episode first season premiered on Paramount+ on September 4, 2025, and concluded October 23. A December 19, 2025, report by CinemaBlend says the series was cancelled after that season.
What is NCIS: Tony & Ziva about?
The series reunites Tony and Ziva after years apart. Tony had left the NCIS team to raise their daughter, Tali, while Ziva was presumed dead before returning for a final NCIS mission. In the spinoff, the pair are co-parenting in Paris when an attack on Tony’s security company sends the family fleeing across Europe. They try to discover who is pursuing them while rebuilding trust.

Paramount+ announced the ten-episode spinoff on February 28, 2024. John McNamara served as showrunner and executive producer, and wrote the premiere. The final title was NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
How does the spinoff fit into NCIS continuity?
Tony was a regular on NCIS from Seasons 1 through 13. Ziva joined in Season 3, left in Season 11, and returned for stories in Season 17. Paramount+’s series guide also notes Tony’s appearance in the Season 21 episode “The Stories We Leave Behind.” The spinoff continues their story after those earlier appearances rather than retelling their time on the original team.

When did it premiere, and how many episodes are there?
Paramount+ announced that the series would launch with three episodes on September 4, 2025, followed by weekly Thursday releases. The finale was scheduled for October 23. Paramount+’s guide now lists all ten episodes as streaming, with those same premiere and finale dates.
At launch, Paramount+ named the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Japan as exclusive territories. That launch list does not guarantee the series is currently available in every local catalog; check Paramount+ in your region for current access. CBS Mornings interviewed Weatherly and de Pablo on the premiere date about the series and their return to the roles.

Will there be a second season?
No second season is expected, according to a December 19, 2025, CinemaBlend report, which says Paramount+ and CBS Studios cancelled the series after its first season and quotes a joint statement from Weatherly and de Pablo. Paramount+’s streaming guide confirms the completed first season but does not itself announce the cancellation, so the cancellation status is based on that dated report.
