The 10 biggest moments in “Sticks & Stones”
1. Three mobile launchers put Europe at risk
TVLine reports that Parker’s team must decode the locations of three Belarusian mobile missile launchers aimed at unknown European targets. Once the sites are identified, senior officials consider precise nuclear strikes against them. The uncertainty about where the launchers are—and what may happen next—drives the episode’s crisis.
2. Kasie receives another coded message
A second coded transmission changes the team’s understanding of the situation. Parker argues that officials should wait for Kasie to decrypt it, since Belarus may have stood down. Senior officials push toward action before the message is understood.

3. The usual decision-makers cannot be reached
In TVLine’s account, technical issues aboard Air Force One prevent officials from reaching the president and the Speaker. The vice president is also unavailable, undergoing an emergency colonoscopy. A senator who favors a nuclear response is left calling the shots.
4. The team interrupts MTAC’s signal
To buy Kasie time, Parker’s team interrupts the MTAC signal. It is an unauthorized attempt to slow the response while the second message is decrypted, rather than a solution to the missile threat itself.

5. Sledgehammers and Quiet Riot cut the building’s power
The delay tactic escalates when the team uses sledgehammers muffled by loud Quiet Riot music and accidentally cuts power to the building, according to TVLine. Their effort to create more time disrupts operations instead.
6. The FBI arrests the NCIS agents
The FBI storms the building and takes the agents into custody. The team’s attempt to prevent a rushed decision has now put its members in handcuffs, with the deadline still approaching.

7. Kasie gets three more minutes
Near the deadline, FBI Deputy Director Sweeney relents and gives Kasie a brief extension to finish decrypting the transmission. The extra three minutes give her just enough time to reach the message’s critical information.
8. The message reveals the launchers are already gone
Kasie learns that Ukrainian special forces have already taken out the Belarusian launchers. In TVLine’s recap, that revelation prevents an American strike against targets that are no longer an active threat—and averts the episode’s immediate risk of escalation.

9. Parker and Sweeney face consequences—and recognition
The team’s actions broke protocol, but the outcome matters. TVLine reports that Vance tells Parker and Sweeney at the end of the episode that both have been recommended for special medals.
10. Jimmy and Jessica still love each other, but do not reunite
Jessica takes time off and drives her RV to Shenandoah National Park; Jimmy follows in his “Man Van.” They discover that Jimmy is on MateQuest partly so friends can reach him in an emergency. The conversation makes clear that their separation has not erased their feelings, but neither has it resolved what pulled them apart.
Best Value
Jimmy is not ready to follow Jessica’s career around the world, while Jessica wants him to have the stability he needs. They end by joking that she could be his dating-app wingman. It is affectionate, but it is not a reconciliation.

The missile crisis turns on whether officials act before Kasie can verify what the second message says. The team’s rule-breaking creates serious consequences, but the information she uncovers changes the decision: the launchers have already been neutralized. The relationship scene lands more quietly. Jimmy and Jessica still care for each other, yet the practical mismatch between Jessica’s travel-heavy career and Jimmy’s need for stability remains unresolved.
