Spoilers: “For Better or Worse” is NCIS Season 22, Episode 11, and its official premise centers on a fake wedding staged to take down the mob. The available official episode descriptions do not establish ten specific scene-by-scene moments, so this recap sticks to what can be verified rather than inventing reveals.
What happens in “For Better or Worse”?
NCIS uses a staged wedding as part of an operation against the mob. That is the central story detail confirmed in the official descriptions: the team arranges a fake wedding for two of its own in an effort to bring down the mob.

The episode is titled “For Better or Worse.” It is Season 22, Episode 11, and CBS gives its U.S. air date as February 3, 2025. CBS’s episode listing and Apple TV’s listing identify the episode and its premise.
What can be verified about the episode’s biggest moments?
The official descriptions establish the operation’s setup, but they do not provide a scene-by-scene account. That means the evidence supports the central wedding ruse—not a reliable list of ten individual moments or reveals.
#1 Best Overall
- Confirmed setup: NCIS stages a fake wedding for two team members.
- Confirmed objective: The ruse is part of an attempt to take down the mob.
- Not established by the official descriptions: which agents pose as the couple, how the mob reacts, what complications arise, how the operation ends, or whether the episode closes on a personal or ongoing-story reveal.
Those unverified details should not be presented as plot facts. The episode title and short synopsis alone cannot confirm a culprit, arrest, death, poisoning, or character-specific ending.
