Those dates are scheduled dates, not a guarantee that every start time, network assignment, or streaming-plan requirement has already been finalized.
The best official way to stream March Madness
NCAA March Madness Live is the official digital viewing hub for the men’s tournament. It is available through the March Madness Live website and app ecosystem and is designed to provide access to every men’s tournament game, subject to the required TV-provider authorization or network-specific subscription.
The service is more than a video player. Depending on the season and device, it can also provide live scores, bracket tools, highlights, live events, and multi-game viewing features. It is generally the best starting point because it puts the tournament schedule and available game feeds in one place.

If you already pay for a participating TV provider, you may not need a separate tournament subscription. The usual activation process is:
- Open March Madness Live on the official website or a supported device.
- Select the game you want to watch.
- Choose the option to sign in with a TV provider.
- Select your provider and complete its authentication process.
- Return to the game stream in March Madness Live.
March Madness Live does not receive your TV-provider username, password, or account details during this process. The provider handles the verification and tells the service whether your account is authorized.
A provider login is not universal access to every possible stream unless the provider package and the applicable network rights authorize those feeds. If a game is unavailable after you sign in, check its listed network and whether your television package includes that network.

What you need before tipoff
- A reliable internet connection: congestion, weak Wi-Fi, or an overloaded home network can cause buffering even when your subscription is valid.
- A supported device: use a current desktop or mobile browser, the official March Madness Live app, or a supported connected-TV app.
- The correct authorization: have a participating TV-provider login, the applicable Paramount+ plan for CBS, or an eligible Max plan for TBS, TNT, or truTV.

Check Max for TBS, TNT, and truTV games. Confirm that the selected Max plan includes the applicable live sports access and that the game is actually assigned to one of those networks.
You want to watch on a non-smart or older TV
Use a supported streaming player or another supported connected device, then install the official app. Buying hardware will not solve an authorization problem, so arrange the provider or service access first.
You are outside the United States
Do not assume that the U.S. services or network rights apply in your country. The reviewed official information establishes the U.S.-oriented viewing routes but does not provide a universal international rights map. The app says you are not authorized
Confirm that you selected the correct provider, that the subscription is active, and that the provider package includes the network carrying the game. Sign out and repeat the provider authentication if the app appears to be using an old session.

Check the network listing for that specific game. Paramount+ is the CBS route, while Max is the route identified for TBS, TNT, and truTV. A subscription to one service is not evidence that it carries the other service’s network feeds.
The stream buffers or drops quality
Move closer to the router, use a wired connection where practical, pause other high-bandwidth activity, and restart the app. If possible, test the same account in a current browser or on another supported device to distinguish an account problem from a device or network problem.
The app is missing from your television
Check the device’s current app store and the NCAA’s current supported-device information. Older hardware may not support the current app even if the product family once did. A compatible HDMI streaming player is an alternative.

The picture is not 4K
That is not necessarily a fault. 4K output support on a streaming device does not guarantee a 4K tournament feed. The delivered resolution is controlled by the event and service as well as your hardware and connection.
Use legal streams and verify details before the tournament
