Bassingthwaighte reportedly said she went to emergency because local doctors or other services were not open in Byron on Sunday night. PerthNow attributed this statement to her video update: “I did end up in emergency because in Byron there are no doctors or anything open on a Sunday nights.” This is her reported explanation, not an independently verified account of local service availability.
