Natalie Barr’s June 2024 update was about exercise, not a newly disclosed illness. The Sunrise host said work and life kept getting in the way of booked workout classes, so she brought Pilates reformer workouts home and planned to start slowly.
What Natalie Barr said about her exercise plans
In an Instagram post reported by PerthNow on June 14, 2024, Barr explained that she had repeatedly booked classes and then cancelled because of work and life. She described her year as not going quite to plan “(Exercise wise)” and said she had brought the plan to her by putting a Pilates reformer in her house.
Barr said the machine was mocha-colored, folded in half, came with delivery and setup, and connected to an app offering classes. She ended by saying she would report back and was “starting slow.” These were details in her own post, which PerthNow identified as a partnership—not an independent product review or a claim about all reformers.
Which equipment did she choose?
PerthNow described the equipment as a Your Reformer Pilates reformer and said the brand was Barr’s partner for the post. The report did not give an exact model name or establish whether she continued using it. Her account is therefore best understood as a personal exercise update, not a recommendation based on comparative testing.

Why this is separate from Barr’s later health disclosure
The phrase “hasn’t quite gone to plan” referred to her difficulty fitting classes around work and life; it was not a reference to cancer. On June 25, 2024, Barr disclosed a skin cancer diagnosis during a Sunrise segment after noticing a persistent spot, consulting a dermatologist and having a biopsy, according to the WHO report published June 27, 2024. That was a separate, later announcement.
What is known about her routine now?
A later interview published by New Idea on April 10, 2026, reported that Barr’s routine included weight training at the gym twice a week and efforts to eat more protein. That account does not establish her current health status or whether she still uses the reformer she discussed in 2024.
