Natalia Fedner es una diseñadora de couture conocida por crear prendas de metal flexible y piezas de punto elaboradas a mano. Quién es Natalia Fedner
Nacida en Ucrania, Fedner emigró de niña a Columbus, Ohio. Estudió en Parsons School of Design y técnicas de alta costura en París. Según su biografía oficial, trabajó en Calvin Klein Collection, Donna Karan Collection y Marc Jacobs.
El tejido de punto fue uno de sus primeros intereses en Parsons. En un perfil de 2021, Vogue relata que presentó una prenda de punto a un concurso y aprendió a utilizar un telar después de empezar tejiendo a mano.
Qué es el Stretch Metal
El Stretch Metal es el material más distintivo de Fedner: una tela compuesta, según la diseñadora, por 100 % metal, con elasticidad en seis direcciones. Su biografía indica que lo patentó en 2021. Vogue también describe su elasticidad y cómo las prendas resultantes —entre ellas vestidos y tops— se ajustan al contorno del cuerpo.

La diseñadora afirma que el material se moldea al cuerpo y adopta el calor de quien lo lleva en unos 15 segundos. Son propiedades descritas por Fedner, no resultados de pruebas independientes citadas por las fuentes disponibles.
