Naomi Osaka’s “Billie Jean Bling” was a custom, crystal-covered Labubu-style charm made by New York City designer A-Morir. An August 2025 report put the piece at approximately 3,000 hand-applied crystals; the $495 figure was the reported top of A-Morir’s Lablingbling line price range, not a confirmed price for every version.
What was Naomi Osaka’s “Billie Jean Bling”?
It was a custom Labubu-style bag charm created by A-Morir, the New York City label founded by designer Kerin Rose Gold. The company’s Lablingbling line used 3D-printed figures decorated by hand with crystals and was reported to come in two sizes. Osaka’s custom colorway was made in her likeness and included a miniature royal-blue crystal tennis racquet, according to Rose Gold in InStyle’s report syndicated by Yahoo.
Osaka named the charm “Billie Jean Bling,” a nod to tennis champion Billie Jean King. The name was part of a broader set of tennis-themed charms associated with Osaka, including La-Billie-Bu and Arthur Flashe.
How many crystals did it have, and how much did it cost?
The InStyle report said the charm featured approximately 3,000 hand-applied crystal embellishments. That is an approximate reported count, not an independently audited tally; the “over 1,000” wording in the headline is a looser description.

The same report gave A-Morir’s Lablingbling line a price range of $250 to $495. That makes $495 the reported high end of the line, not a verified price for every size or version of Osaka’s custom piece. The figures were published in August 2025 and do not establish current pricing or availability.
How was the charm made?
Rose Gold described the process as a combination of 3D printing and hand-applied crystals. “From start of printing to end of crystallizing each one takes about a day to make,” she told InStyle. The report does not specify whether that timing applied to every custom version or only to the production process she was describing.

Osaka also discussed the difficulty of applying crystals to performance clothing, saying: “It was really elaborate because the crystals are really hard to do on a performance outfit.” That comment concerned her sparkling tennis outfit, rather than serving as a production description of the charm.
Why did Osaka carry several Labubu charms at the 2025 US Open?
Osaka used the charms as part of her match-day style. The Associated Press reported that she carried a different Labubu version attached to her racket bag in each of her first four matches at the 2025 US Open. After beating Coco Gauff, she introduced a silver charm named Althea Glitterson, honoring Althea Gibson. Other reported names included Billie Jean Bling, La-Billie-Bu and Arthur Flashe.

The official US Open’s September 1, 2025 feature described the charms as uniquely bedazzled to coordinate with Osaka’s sparkling tennis dress and jacket.
Is Billie Jean Bling the same as a regular POP MART Labubu?
No. Billie Jean Bling was a custom A-Morir creation, not simply an unmodified POP MART figure. The Associated Press identifies Kasing Lung as Labubu’s creator and reports that POP MART partnered with him to sell the character. POP MART’s US Labubu catalog lists its own figures, which are separate products from A-Morir’s custom, crystal-decorated charm.

POP MART was quoted in the InStyle report saying, “Like many Pop Mart collectors, she personalized it as a form of self-expression, and it took on a life of its own.” That statement reflects the company’s characterization of Osaka’s styling; it does not make the A-Morir charm an ordinary catalog figure.

The August 2025 article said the figurine was being sold for a limited time, but it does not establish whether Billie Jean Bling or other Lablingbling versions remain available now. What should buyers know about Labubu fakes?
A US Consumer Product Safety Commission alert dated August 18, 2025 warned that fake Labubu plush figures and keychains can pose choking hazards to young children. The alert recommends buying from trusted sellers and describes authenticity indicators including holographic stickers, QR codes and, on newer editions, UV marks. This warning concerns counterfeit products; it is not a safety finding about Osaka’s custom A-Morir charm.
