What did the anniversary show celebrate?
The tour celebrated Da Lama ao Caos, released in 1994 as the debut album by Chico Science & Nação Zumbi. The promoter framed the record as a landmark of the Mangue movement, bringing regional and international musical influences together. It announced that the Audio performance would include every track from the album.
The tour name retained the “30 anos” anniversary framing, though the São Paulo date fell in 2025, a year after the album’s 1994 release. That wording identifies the tour; it does not make 2025 the album’s exact 30th calendar anniversary. The performance was announced with Maciel Salú as special guest and Devotos as the opening act.

How was this different from Nação Zumbi’s 2026 São Paulo performances?
Later São Paulo performances marked a different album anniversary: Afrociberdelia, not Da Lama ao Caos. The events were separate from the Audio tour date.
- Theatro Municipal, February 2 and 3, 2026: Nação Zumbi performed Afrociberdelia with the Orquestra Experimental de Repertório. The venue lists Wagner Polistchuk as conductor and Mateus Alves as arranger. Theatro Municipal’s event page identifies the program as “Afrociberdelia 30 Anos.”
- Sesc Itaquera, July 5, 2026: TV Cultura documented a free performance celebrating Afrociberdelia. Its published set includes “Da Lama ao Caos” near the end, but the event was billed around the later album. TV Cultura’s Bem Brasil page documents the concert.
How does the band describe the difference between the first two albums?
He was discussing how Afrociberdelia differs from the debut. UOL Toca’s interview provides the context.
