One commenter described the recap as “ten minutes,” but that is a fan’s estimate—not an official runtime breakdown. Other commenters said the episode improved once it reached new material and praised it overall, so the discussion reflects mixed reactions rather than a consensus that the debut disappointed everyone.
What fans meant by “10 more minutes”
The complaint was about recap footage in episode one, not a ten-minute delay to the season’s broadcast. In a premiere discussion thread, commenters called the recap long; one wrote that they “Hated the 10 minute long recap.” The thread does not establish an exact duration, and the official announcements cited here do not provide a breakdown of the episode’s runtime.

Reactions in that thread were not uniformly negative. Some viewers objected to the recap or reused footage, while others said the episode picked up when it reached new material and praised it. Those comments offer examples of individual responses, not a measure of how the whole audience felt.
The recap complaint was separate from Crunchyroll’s upload delay
A different issue affected some viewers at launch. GamesRadar reported that the Crunchyroll premiere was scheduled for 2:30 a.m. Pacific / 5:30 a.m. Eastern but did not appear for subscribers until about ten hours later. The report said the episode was available on schedule through Prime Video’s Crunchyroll channel, and that some viewers initially encountered missing English subtitles for the Japanese-language episode. This was a reported launch incident; it was not the recap and does not establish the service’s current availability or performance.

In a September 2025 release, ABEMA also said the manga’s final volume was volume 42 and that the series had surpassed 100 million copies in worldwide circulation. That is the figure ABEMA reported for 2025, not an independently verified current sales total. The final volume is a relevant option for readers who want the source story; the announcement does not establish a particular edition’s availability or stock. Read ABEMA’s announcement.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the premiere reaction needs context
The headline’s “10 more minutes” captures a fan complaint about recap footage, not a verified episode specification. The episode’s reception in the discussion was mixed, while the reported Crunchyroll delay was a separate technical and availability problem. Keeping those points distinct avoids turning a handful of comments and a historical platform incident into a claim about every viewer or the season’s overall reception.
