“The Girl Who Loves Smiles” shifts the focus from the villain conflict to the emotional struggles still facing Izuku and Ochaco. That aftermath-centered premise gives Episode 10 a clear character focus, though the available episode listings do not establish enough scene detail to support claims about how specific moments play out.
What is “The Girl Who Loves Smiles” about?
Season 8, Episode 10 is listed in English as “The Girl Who Loves Smiles.” Its spoiler-light premise is that the fight against the villains has ended, but Izuku and Ochaco still have inner struggles to face. Apple TV and TV Guide use the same broad synopsis, so the episode is positioned as a move from external conflict toward personal aftermath—not as another battle-centered installment.

That contrast is the episode’s strongest promise on paper. A story can end its immediate fight without resolving what its characters have carried through it; giving Izuku and Ochaco the focus recognizes that distinction. The premise suggests room for reflection and character closure, but does not, by itself, establish exactly what either character confronts or how fully those questions are resolved.
Does the episode provide closure?
Its setup points toward emotional follow-through after the villain conflict, making character aftermath the relevant measure of closure. The listings confirm that both Izuku and Ochaco have struggles remaining; they do not provide a detailed account of the episode’s scenes or ending. It would therefore be misleading to promise a particular confession, reconciliation, or resolution. The grounded takeaway is that Episode 10 turns attention to what remains for these two characters after the fighting stops.

When did Episode 10 release, and how long is it?
Apple TV, Rotten Tomatoes, and TV Guide list December 6, 2025, as the episode’s release date. Their runtime information is not consistent: Apple TV lists 23 minutes, while TV Guide lists 24 minutes. Treat it as approximately 23–24 minutes rather than assuming the one-minute difference is settled.
Is there a critic consensus?
Rotten Tomatoes’ episode page showed zero critic reviews when checked. That is a count on that page, not evidence that no reviews exist elsewhere, and it is not an audience score. There is no basis in that listing for calling the response a critical consensus.
