Season 2 premiered on July 5, 2025, according to Crunchyroll’s July 1, 2025 announcement. Crunchyroll gave the first episode’s release time as 9:30 a.m. Pacific Time. The season followed Season 1, which premiered in January 2022, making the gap more than three years.

In Japan, Tokyo MX and BS11 listed the broadcast for July 5 at 24:00 JST. That is the broadcasters’ after-midnight notation for the end of July 5, rather than a 12:00 a.m. start at the beginning of that date. Aniplex separately lists AT-X beginning July 6 at 22:00 JST; its schedule notes that broadcast times may change. See the Aniplex Season 2 listing.
Where can you watch Season 2?
Crunchyroll announced a simulcast outside Japan, China, Korea and Mongolia. That describes the territory in the 2025 launch announcement, not a guarantee of current availability everywhere: streaming rights and catalog listings can vary by country and change over time. Check Crunchyroll’s current local catalog before subscribing or relying on the original territory information.

Who made the second season?
CloverWorks’ Season 2 production listing credits the studio with producing the anime. Keisuke Shinohara directed the season; Yoriko Tomita handled series composition; Kazumasa Ishida was character designer and chief animation director; and Takeshi Nakatsuka composed the music.
What is the anime based on?
The series adapts Shinichi Fukuda’s manga. Crunchyroll reports that the manga ran from January 2018 through March 2025 and that Square Enix publishes an English-language edition. Readers looking to continue in print should check the edition and volume details before buying: the available sources do not establish exactly which manga chapters Season 2 covers, so they do not identify a specific volume as the point immediately after the anime’s finale.
