For the week of Monday, October 12, through Sunday, October 18, 2026, Netflix has five scheduled series picks spanning documentary, reality, animation, comedy, and political drama. The clearest documentary choice is TYSON, a four-part series about Mike Tyson. The sources consulted do not confirm an Apple TV+ series premiere during this window; an Apple TV film listed for October 16 is not a series.
Netflix series to watch next week
Netflix’s October release calendar lists the following titles and dates. “Must-watch” is a matter of taste, so the picks below are organized by format and genre rather than presented as a quality ranking.
| Release date | Series | Format and viewing angle |
|---|---|---|
| October 13 | Solar Opposites, season 6 | Animated comedy about an alien family that crash-lands on Earth and tries to fit into suburban life. |
| October 13 | TYSON | Four-part documentary series about Mike Tyson; the week’s nonfiction pick. |
| October 14 | Love Is Blind, season 11 | Reality dating series hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Single people pursue relationships and get engaged before meeting face to face. |
| October 15 | Hollywood Arts | Comedy in which Trina Vega, played by Daniella Monet, returns to guide gifted teens at a performing arts school. |
| October 15 | The Diplomat, season 4 | Political drama about a U.S. diplomat balancing her role as ambassador to the UK with a strained marriage to an ambitious political strategist. |
For a documentary
Choose TYSON if you want a nonfiction series. Netflix describes it as four parts focused on Mike Tyson. The calendar does not provide further episode details, so the confirmed basis for choosing it is its documentary format and subject.
For returning series
Solar Opposites, Love Is Blind, and The Diplomat are listed as seasons 6, 11, and 4, respectively. Their genres differ substantially: animated comedy, reality dating, and political drama.

Is there an Apple TV+ series premiere next week?
The sources consulted do not establish an Apple TV+ series debut from October 12 through 18. Apple’s February 3, 2026 announcement of its 2026 slate said new originals would debut weekly during the year, alongside returning series, but that broad promise is not a complete week-by-week release calendar. It cannot confirm whether a later announcement added a title for this particular week.
