Desde então, artistas como Sérgio Mendes, Astrud Gilberto, Eumir Deodato, Anitta e Pabllo Vittar também apareceram na parada. A Hot 100 citada aqui é a lista semanal dos Estados Unidos — não a parada brasileira.
O que a Billboard Hot 100 mede
A Hot 100 classifica músicas populares da semana em todos os gêneros nos Estados Unidos. De acordo com a Billboard Brasil, o cálculo reúne atividade de streaming, execuções em rádio, audiência e vendas, com dados compilados pela Luminate. A lista é atualizada às terças-feiras e se refere à semana anterior. A metodologia consultada não informa uma ponderação numérica para cada indicador.
Isso importa ao interpretar os exemplos: uma faixa entrar na Hot 100 significa que alcançou a parada norte-americana segundo esses indicadores. Não significa que tenha liderado a lista, nem que tenha tido o mesmo desempenho no Brasil. A Hot 100 dos Estados Unidos também não deve ser confundida com o Billboard Brasil Hot 100, que acompanha o consumo brasileiro.
Marcos de artistas brasileiros na parada
A trajetória reúne gravações instrumentais, bossa nova, arranjos de jazz e pop, sucessos internacionais e colaborações. Os picos abaixo são posições na Hot 100: quanto menor o número, mais alto o lugar alcançado. As datas e permanências reproduzem a compilação histórica consultada, que reúne 33 entradas e tem cobertura indicada até fevereiro de 2025.

Décadas de 1960 e 1970: instrumentais, bossa nova e pop
- 1963 — Los Indios Tabajaras, “Maria Elena”: a versão instrumental alcançou o 6º lugar na semana de 16 de novembro e permaneceu 14 semanas na parada. É a primeira entrada brasileira apontada pela compilação.
- 1964 — Astrud Gilberto, “The Girl from Ipanema”: chegou ao 5º lugar em 18 de julho e ficou 12 semanas.
- 1968 — Sérgio Mendes: “The Look of Love” alcançou o 4º lugar e “The Fool on the Hill”, o 6º.
- 1973 — Eumir Deodato, “Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001)”: atingiu o 2º lugar e somou 12 semanas.
- 1975 — Morris Albert, “Feelings”: chegou ao 6º lugar e permaneceu 32 semanas, a maior permanência entre os marcos destacados nesta lista.
Décadas de 1980 e 1990: retorno de Sérgio Mendes e sucesso da lambada
- 1983 — Sérgio Mendes, “Never Gonna Let You Go”: alcançou o 4º lugar e ficou 23 semanas.
- 1990 — Kaoma, “Lambada”: chegou ao 46º lugar e somou 12 semanas.
De 2000 a 2010: novas entradas e colaborações
- 2007 — CSS, “Music Is My Hot Hot Sex”: alcançou o 63º lugar.
- 2012 — Michel Teló, “Ai Se Eu Te Pego”: chegou ao 81º lugar.
- 2014 — Claudia Leitte, Jennifer Lopez e Pitbull, “We Are One (Ole Ola)”: a faixa colaborativa chegou ao 59º lugar.
- 2018 — Nego do Borel e Maluma, “Corazón”: entrou na parada. As fontes consultadas divergem sobre o pico: uma compilação registra o 87º lugar, enquanto uma reportagem contemporânea do POPline relatou a estreia em 94º. Sem confirmar o histórico oficial da faixa, é mais seguro registrar apenas a entrada.
De 2020 a 2025: Anitta e Pabllo Vittar
- 2020 — Anitta, “Me Gusta”: estreou na Hot 100. A TIME identificou a faixa, na época, como a primeira entrada da cantora na parada.
- 2022 — Anitta, “Envolver”: alcançou o 70º lugar.
- 2024 — Anitta e Peso Pluma, “Bellakeo”: chegou ao 53º lugar; Pabllo Vittar, Sevdaliza e Yseult, “Alibi” alcançou o 95º.
- 2025 — Anitta e The Weeknd, “São Paulo”: chegou ao 43º lugar na compilação consultada.
Quem teve mais entradas e semanas na Hot 100?
Na compilação histórica consultada, Sérgio Mendes lidera tanto em número de faixas como em semanas acumuladas: são 14 entradas e 126 semanas. Anitta aparece com quatro entradas e 24 semanas. Eumir Deodato e Los Indios Tabajaras têm duas entradas cada; os demais artistas listados têm uma cada. Esses totais pertencem à compilação, não a uma contagem independente e atualizada pela Billboard.
As medidas não são intercambiáveis. O pico indica a melhor posição de uma faixa; as semanas mostram por quanto tempo ela permaneceu na parada; e o número de entradas conta quantas faixas de um artista apareceram. Por exemplo, “Feelings”, de Morris Albert, teve uma permanência longa entre os destaques, enquanto o maior total de entradas da compilação é o de Sérgio Mendes.

Uma entrada creditada a um artista brasileiro pode incluir colaboradores de outros países. “We Are One (Ole Ola)”, “Corazón” e “São Paulo” são exemplos de faixas colaborativas nesta cronologia. Por isso, a lista reúne participações brasileiras na Hot 100; ela não afirma que todos os artistas creditados em cada faixa sejam brasileiros.

A compilação consultada reúne 33 entradas e vai até fevereiro de 2025; nela, o marco mais recente é “São Paulo”, de Anitta com The Weeknd, que alcançou o 43º lugar em 2025.
