The band’s official archive lists performances in New Orleans, Spartanburg, Richmond and Essex Junction, Vermont. Built around travel by train and a changing group of collaborators, the run revived the format of the original 2011 tour.
2025 Railroad Revival Tour dates and venues
The official Mumford & Sons tour archive records four dates:
| Date | City or region | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| August 3, 2025 | New Orleans, Louisiana | Woldenberg Riverfront Park |
| August 4, 2025 | Spartanburg, South Carolina | Piedmont Interstate Fair |
| August 5, 2025 | Richmond, Virginia | Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront |
| August 7, 2025 | Essex Junction, Vermont | Champlain Valley Exposition |
The schedule skipped August 6 between Richmond and the Vermont finale. The archive confirms these dates are in the past; it does not list the tour as upcoming.
What made the tour a revival
The Railroad Revival concept was a traveling, train-based series of concerts that brought the performers together on the journey between stops. The 2025 run carried forward the collaborative approach of the original 2011 tour. TicketNews reported that Marcus Mumford described the return as unfinished business on the American railroad, and quoted him calling the plan “another rolling festival” that would begin in New Orleans and end in Vermont. These are quotations attributed to Mumford by TicketNews in May 2025.

- Experience the birth of a revolution with iconic performances. This exclusive collection opens with Bob Dylan's raw "House of the Risin' Sun," paired with the ethereal "Silver Dagger" by Joan Baez and the poignant "He Was a Friend of Mine" by Dave Van Ronk. It's an authentic journey through the legendary Greenwich Village cafés that changed music forever.
- Feel the power of an era-defining protest with "Blowin' in the Wind" and the hopeful anthem "We Shall Overcome" by Pete Seeger. This side captures the spirit of a generation with Dylan's "Song to Woody," the pop crossover "Mr. Tambourine Man," and the timeless "Where Have All The Flowers Gone" by Peter, Paul & Mary.
- Own a piece of history with this strictly limited collector's edition. Pressed on high-quality 180-gram vinyl, this LP is mastered for superior audio fidelity, delivering the warm, rich sound that audiophiles and collectors demand. The unique colored vinyl variant makes it a standout artifact for any serious music library.
- More than a compilation, this album narrates the electric chemistry between Dylan, Baez, and the folk icons who shaped the 60s. From Baez introducing Dylan to larger stages to the timeless question posed in "Blowin' in the Wind," this record is a living document of the artists who "rewired what a song could be."
- Housed in premium packaging, this vinyl LP is the definitive addition for anyone passionate about folk rock, Americana, and music history. Whether it's a birthday gift for a music lover, a treat for yourself, or a cornerstone of your Bob Dylan memorabilia, this is an essential piece of the 1960s counterculture movement.
The revival was not a leg of the band’s separate, larger 2025 North American arena and amphitheater tour supporting Rushmere. Live Nation announced that 32-date tour in March 2025; the Railroad Revival was its own four-stop undertaking.

Guests at individual stops
Additional guests joined at particular points in the run. Coverage reported Lainey Wilson at the New Orleans show, Darius Rucker at the Spartanburg-area stop, Maggie Rogers at a later date and Noah Kahan for the Vermont finale. They should be understood as appearances tied to specific stops, not as a fixed lineup present at every concert. NME reported the later guest additions and the train-travel context in August 2025.
How the 2025 run relates to the original
The 2025 tour revived the 2011 Railroad Revival’s combination of rail travel and collaborative performances, but it had its own route, dates and guest appearances. The earlier tour is also associated with Big Easy Express; that documentary concerns the original journey, not the 2025 revival. Contemporary coverage of the 2025 announcement and AXS TV’s retrospective coverage connect the new run to the original format.
What is documented about the tour
The official band archive provides the clearest record of the dates and venues. Contemporary coverage supplies the initial house-band roster, reported guest appearances and details about the traveling concept. The sources do not establish a tour-specific attendance, revenue or economic-impact figure, and the official archive does not provide complete setlists.
