Lynn Ban, diseñadora de joyas y participante de *Bling Empire: New York*, murió el 20 de enero de 2025. Ban contó que se cayó mientras esquiaba en Aspen, Colorado, durante la víspera de Navidad de 2024. Según su relato, un esquí se enganchó y cayó de cara. Llevaba casco; la patrulla de esquí la revisó y, al principio, pudo continuar.
Más tarde empezó a sentir dolor de cabeza. Un paramédico le recomendó ir al hospital para hacerse una tomografía. Allí detectaron una hemorragia cerebral y la trasladaron a un centro de trauma, según la cobertura de People en Español y The Associated Press.
La cirugía y el anuncio de su muerte
Ban se sometió a una craneotomía de emergencia. En una publicación sobre su recuperación, agradeció a la patrulla de esquí, al equipo médico y a su familia y amistades. People en Español reprodujo sus palabras en español: «Hay un largo camino adelante para mi recuperación pero soy una sobreviviente y le agradezco a la patrulla de esquí, al increíble equipo de médicos y enfermeras y el apoyo de mi familia y amigos».

Quién era Lynn Ban
Ban, originaria de Singapur según AP, era diseñadora de joyas y formó parte del elenco de *Bling Empire: New York*, serie de Netflix estrenada en 2023. AP indicó que, según la biografía en línea de Ban, trabajó más de 25 años en la industria de la moda. Medios como Univision también destacaron su línea de joyería homónima y piezas que llevaron celebridades.
