Qué se sabe de su estado de salud y la causa de muerte
En los días previos a su fallecimiento, González estuvo hospitalizado e intubado. Su compañero comediante Gregorio, conocido como Doña Catalina, anunció la muerte desde el hospital, según Univision. El medio reprodujo sus palabras: “Quiero informarles que Doña Evelia (Benjamín) se nos adelantó, Doña Evelia falleció hoy, lo siento mucho por su mami, sus hermanos y su familia”. Univision
La anemia fue mencionada por allegados, no confirmada como causa del fallecimiento. El Financiero informó que Doña Catalina habló de una recaída de anemia y señaló que no se habían divulgado razones médicas oficiales.
