The Motor City Machine Guns are professional wrestlers Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. As of October 8, 2026, Sabin is 44; Shelley is commonly reported as 43, though that birth date is not confirmed by the direct biography material available here. The team has won tag championships in WWE, TNA/Impact, ROH, NJPW and independent promotions. A wrestling database lists four signature moves for the team, but does not identify them as an official, exhaustive finisher list.
Who are the Motor City Machine Guns?
The Motor City Machine Guns, often abbreviated MCMG, are Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. WWE identifies Sabin as one half of the team and names Shelley as his partner. The team overview dates their first formation to 2006 and recounts periods in TNA, ROH, NJPW, WWE and AEW. [WWE profile; team overview]
Affiliation can change, and the available profile information does not settle the team’s current contract status. The secondary overview reports an AEW return in July 2026; that should not be treated as confirmation of a current roster position without a direct announcement from the promotion.

TNA and Impact title names
The database lists the 2010 reign as the TNA World Tag Team Championship and later reigns as the Impact World Tag Team Championship. These names reflect the company and title branding of different periods; they should not be presented as championships from two unrelated promotions.

CAGEMATCH lists these four moves as team signature moves: Bullet Point, High-Low, Skull and Bones, and Made in Detroit. The listing does not establish that each is an official finisher or that the set is exhaustive. It also does not specify a canonical performer for each move’s components, so assigning execution details to Shelley or Sabin would go beyond what this record supports. [CAGEMATCH team history]
