They share a son, Indigo
Smith and Wallen’s son, Indigo, was born in July 2020, after the reported end of their romantic relationship. Public coverage supports that they co-parent, but it does not establish a formal custody agreement, schedule or division of parenting time. Parade reports that custody details have not been made public.
Smith addressed speculation after Wallen’s 2024 arrest
In April 2024, Smith announced that she had married Luke Scornavacco. That same month, Wallen was arrested after a chair was thrown from a Nashville bar rooftop. The timing prompted speculation about a connection between the events. Smith said she had no evidence for that claim: “Although it may seem like it correlates because of the timeline, I have no evidence to believe the incident had anything to do with the recent marriage announcement.” E! News attributed the statement to Smith, who had given it to The Daily Beast on April 9, 2024. Her comment describes what she knew; it does not establish Wallen’s motives. Read E! Smith’s marriage and separation were a separate timeline
In January 2025, Smith said she and Scornavacco had decided to separate. As quoted by iHeart, her statement began: “We both have decided to do what’s best for us, as well as Indigo [Smith’s son she shares with Wallen], while he’s still as young as he is.” iHeart reported the announcement.
In April 2025, Us Weekly and iHeart reported social-media posts that appeared to signal Smith and Scornavacco had reconciled. Those were reports about apparent signals at that time, not confirmation of Smith’s current relationship status. They also do not indicate that Smith and Wallen resumed a relationship. What Smith has said about the relationship and co-parenting
Smith discussed her past relationship with Wallen and co-parenting in a March 2025 episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast. The episode description says the conversation covered her engagement to Wallen, cheating rumors and co-parenting in the public eye. That description does not verify the rumors, and detailed claims should be attributed to Smith’s own words in the episode rather than inferred from its listing. iHeart’s episode listing summarizes the conversation.
