The show was created by Ronan Bennett. Paramount lists Bennett and Jez Butterworth among its executive producers; the Associated Press reports that Butterworth co-wrote the series and that Guy Ritchie executive-produced it and directed its first two episodes. The AP also reported that the idea began as a possible spinoff from Ray Donovan before developing into a standalone series. That reported origin does not mean the shows have an ongoing crossover.

When did MobLand season 2 come out?

Yes. Paramount’s catalog lists the series as renewed for season three. It does not provide a season-three premiere date, so a release date should not be assumed from the renewal announcement.

In a June 23, 2025 renewal announcement, Paramount described MobLand as its second-most-watched original series at that time and reported 26 million viewers to date. Paramount said this figure came from internal streaming data: total global watch time for episode 101 during its first 70 days divided by the episode’s runtime. It is therefore a platform-defined viewing estimate, not an independently audited count of 26 million unique people.
