After a season-one recap montage, Conrad and Maeve arrive at a dog track for a meeting tied to Turkish gangster Gakbu. His brother Luca appears instead. Kevin has separately entertained Gakbu’s offer, leaving Conrad’s group blindsided. Conrad and Maeve’s side opens fire, killing Gakbu’s men.

The violence exposes more than a dangerous rival: the Harrigans are no longer operating as a reliably coordinated family. Harry is in therapy with Jan when Paul tells him what happened at the track. Harry says he knew nothing about the meeting and warns that the family is “surrounded by sharks, ripe for the picking.” A waiter who witnessed the shooting becomes another problem; Harry orders him to retract his statement.
At home, Jan formally asks Harry for a divorce. Meanwhile, Maeve meets Eddie and asks him to have Gina removed from the picture. Gina and Eddie also have a scheme offering security to wealthy YouTubers, another strand of business unfolding as the family’s private and criminal lives collide.

What is Colin Tattersall’s plan for Kat?
Seraphina approaches Kat about replacing Conrad. Kat sets a steep price for partnership: half of Harrigan revenue for five years. She gives Seraphina a number and tells her to repeat it word for word after conversations with family members, making message discipline part of the negotiation.
After Seraphina leaves, Colin approaches Kat with a different kind of offer. He says he can find a “brave knight”—someone who can work for Kat while keeping her reputation clean. In Colin’s pitch, this person could help Kat run London and consign the Harrigans to history. The episode closes with Colin approaching Frankie, played by Johnny Flynn.
That ending sets up a possible route for Kat, but it does not show that she accepts Colin’s offer or establish what he and Frankie will do next. The distinction matters: the premiere introduces a plan and a potential recruit, not a completed power shift.

Colin’s offer is significant because it gives Kat a possible answer to Harry’s role in the Harrigan organization. Harry is closely involved in containing threats for the family; Colin proposes building Kat’s influence through a proxy who can act on her behalf while she stays less exposed. The methods are not identical, and the premiere does not establish that Colin has Harry’s standing or reach. But it does suggest a contest between fixers attached to opposing power centers.
The timing makes the proposal more dangerous. Kevin’s separate dealings and Conrad and Maeve’s violent response have already weakened the Harrigans’ internal coordination. Colin is not simply adding another rival; he is offering Kat a way to exploit that disorder while limiting her direct visibility. Whether that strategy works remains unresolved at the episode’s close.
