MobLand episode 6 recap: What happens in “Antwerp Blues”?
Conrad makes the family conflict explicit
The episode opens in the aftermath of Vron’s car exploding. Conrad takes responsibility, explaining that the car had been loaded with Semtex as a contingency, but saying he chose to kill her after Richie disrespected him. The confession takes the conflict beyond uneasy maneuvering: Conrad has made a decision that Richie can answer only as a direct challenge.
Kevin sees the wider danger. The Harrigans’ plan to secure Mexican allies is now compromised, and Conrad’s escalation threatens to weaken the family as it tries to consolidate its position. A phone call to Richie underlines the change in temperature. The episode’s central family dispute is no longer a quiet contest for influence; it is a conflict both sides know is underway.
Harry tries to find Seraphina and Brendan
At the same time, Seraphina and Brendan travel to Antwerp for a diamond sale. Harry tries to reach them, but Brendan rejects his intervention. Seraphina later shares her location with Harry, giving him a way into a situation that is already becoming dangerous.
Maeve adds another layer of risk when she contacts Richie and trades location information for a bargain involving Seraphina and Brendan. The deal links the Harrigans’ power struggle to the Antwerp storyline: family maneuvering is no longer just background pressure on Harry’s search, but part of what puts the people he is looking for at risk.

The conflict reaches the people around the family
Jan and Bella talk about being caught between their husbands’ conflicts, a domestic counterpoint to the men’s escalating threats. Gina, meanwhile, recognizes Conrad’s effort to draw her closer. She tells her mother they should leave, showing that the struggle for loyalty has consequences even for people trying not to take sides.
MobLand Season 1 Episode 6 ending explained
The Antwerp storyline ends with gunfire at the warehouse and Seraphina and Brendan at gunpoint. The episode cuts to black before their immediate fate is resolved. That unresolved threat is the cliffhanger: Harry has been trying to reach them, but the episode stops at the moment when the danger becomes physical.
The cliffhanger also gives Maeve’s bargain a concrete dramatic consequence. Her exchange with Richie is not simply another move in the family’s political game; it contributes to the conditions surrounding the warehouse confrontation. The episode leaves viewers with two urgent questions—what happens to Seraphina and Brendan, and how far Richie will take his response to Conrad?

The Harrigan power struggle
The strongest shift in “Antwerp Blues” is from implication to declaration. Conrad’s explanation for Vron’s death makes his personal grievance part of the family’s strategy, while Kevin’s warning points to the practical cost. Richie’s place in the conflict is clear even before the Antwerp danger arrives: the insult has been answered, and a response is now expected.

In Greg Wheeler’s episode-specific review for The Review Geek, Wheeler reads Maeve as playing both sides and Harry as caught in the middle. That is one reviewer’s interpretation, but it fits the episode’s structure: Maeve’s choices connect the family’s competing interests to Harry’s attempt to protect Seraphina and Brendan.
The Antwerp suspense
The Antwerp plot gives the episode a different kind of urgency. Harry’s search has a clear objective, but his efforts are complicated by Brendan’s refusal to accept help and by the information Maeve trades. The warehouse sequence then turns that uncertainty into immediate peril.
The cross-cut between the family’s internal conflict and the diamond deal works because each track changes the stakes of the other. The family dispute supplies the pressure behind the exchange of information; the Antwerp plot gives that political maneuvering an immediate human cost. The final cut arrives before either thread can settle, leaving the episode with momentum rather than closure.
The personal cost
Jan and Bella’s conversation and Gina’s decision to leave keep the episode from treating the conflict as a game played only by its most powerful characters. Their scenes show different responses to being pulled into the Harrigans’ orbit: trying to endure the position, or recognizing the danger and seeking distance. They also offer a quieter contrast to the warehouse’s overt violence.
