What the box-office ranking shows
Fallout leads the franchise worldwide
Fallout sits nearly $92 million ahead of Ghost Protocol, the runner-up in The Numbers’ worldwide column. The gap between second-place Ghost Protocol and third-place Rogue Nation is much narrower: $5,854,238.
Domestic and worldwide rankings are not the same
Mission: Impossible 2 earned the highest domestic total among these eight films, at $215,409,889, but ranks sixth worldwide. That difference is why the table’s ranking follows worldwide gross rather than domestic receipts.

How to interpret these totals
Gross is the amount reported from theatrical ticket sales, not a measure of a film’s profit. These figures do not account for inflation, production costs, distribution expenses, or the division of ticket revenue between theaters and studios. They should not be read as an inflation-adjusted comparison or a profitability ranking.

- Mission: Impossible: 6 Movie Collection Blu-Ray
- Produkttyp: PHYSICAL MOVIE
- Brand: Paramount
Different box-office databases can report different totals for individual titles. This list keeps one source’s franchise table for all eight films rather than combining figures from databases with differing totals; the cited figures should therefore be understood as The Numbers’ reported values.

In a February 2024 announcement, Paramount described the then-seven-film franchise as having earned “over $4 billion at the worldwide box office.” That is Paramount’s promotional franchise figure, separate from the film-by-film totals above and not a sum calculated from The Numbers’ table. Paramount’s February 2024 announcement also concerned streaming availability at that time, not a guarantee of the current catalog in every country.
