Disney California Adventure has offered Boudin sourdough shaped like Mickey Mouse. For Halloween 2026, Disney lists a seasonal version called Vampire Mickey-shaped Sourdough Bread at the Boudin Bread Cart in San Fransokyo Square, available August 18 through November 12, 2026. That seasonal item is distinct from the general Mickey-shaped loaf described in Disney’s food guide.
What is the Mickey Mouse sourdough bread at California Adventure?
It is a Mickey-shaped loaf made with Boudin sourdough, the San Francisco bakery’s bread served around the park. Disney’s guide to iconic foods says visitors can buy a loaf shaped like Mickey and also describes Boudin sourdough bread bowls at Pacific Wharf Café. The guide is a description of park food, not a recipe. Disney’s guide to iconic tastes at Disney California Adventure
Where and when can you get the 2026 Halloween version?
Disney’s 2026 Halloween food guide lists Vampire Mickey-shaped Sourdough Bread at the Boudin Bread Cart in San Fransokyo Square, from August 18 through November 12, 2026. Disney labels the item plant-based. These dates apply to the seasonal listing; check Disney’s current official menu for availability on a later visit. Disney’s 2026 Halloween food guide
San Fransokyo Square is also home to Aunt Cass Café, which Disneyland Resort describes as serving soups in Boudin sourdough bread bowls. That bread-bowl offering is separate from the seasonal Vampire Mickey loaf. Disneyland Resort’s San Fransokyo Square page

Can you see how Boudin bread is made?
The Bakery Tour is a related attraction hosted by Boudin Bakery. Disneyland Resort describes it as a tour of “a working replica of the famous Boudin Bakery in San Francisco” that includes a sample of freshly baked bread. Check the official attraction page for current operating information before planning around it. The Bakery Tour at Disneyland Resort
Can you make the bread at home?
Disney’s official food and attraction pages do not provide an exact recipe for its Mickey-shaped loaf. A third-party Disney Dining recipe offers an inspired sourdough bread bowl, but it does not establish Boudin’s formula or explain how to shape the Mickey loaf. Ingredients in the unofficial bread-bowl recipe
- 1/2 cup active, fed sourdough starter
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
- 3 1/4 cups bread flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- For the egg wash: 1 egg and 1 teaspoon water
The recipe lists a Dutch oven with a lid as equipment. It does not specify a Mickey-shaped mold or cutter, so it should be treated as a bread-bowl adaptation rather than a method for reproducing the park’s character loaf.
