She said she texted Foley before wearing the look in her March 7, 2025, WWE SmackDown street fight with Michin, and that he loved the idea.
What Chelsea Green wore for the tribute
Green defended the WWE Women’s United States Championship against Michin in a street fight on the March 7, 2025, episode of SmackDown. Her outfit referenced Foley’s Cactus Jack persona: flannel, a custom “Wanted” shirt and pants marked “Cactus Chels.” Fightful’s March 18 report described the gear and transcribed Green’s later comments about it.
What Foley’s response was—and who reported it
Green said she texted Foley to ask how he would feel about her dressing as Cactus Jack and wearing a parody of his old shirt. Her account of his reply was: “He loved it, he was supportive.” She also said Foley reposted photos of her and the shirt.
That reaction is reported through Green’s account at a Pennzoil 400 press conference; the cited report does not include a direct interview with Foley. Green characterized the tribute as a way to remind people how great Foley was, and said his reposts made the experience especially rewarding.

Why Green chose Cactus Jack
Green said she wanted to make the street fight feel special and chose Foley because she loves him and had a longstanding relationship with him. Philadelphia’s association with ECW and hardcore wrestling also made Cactus Jack a fitting inspiration for the match, she explained.
WWE identifies Cactus Jack as one of Foley’s three distinct wrestling personas, alongside Dude Love and Mankind. That context matters because the tribute was specifically to Cactus Jack—not simply to Foley under his real name or one of his other characters. WWE’s Mick Foley profile provides that character context.
