No: Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones denied the claim that they were boycotting CNN. In comments attributed to their representatives in Entertainment Weekly reporting republished by Yahoo News, Zeta-Jones’s representative called the rumor inaccurate, while Douglas’s representative said he had “no problem with going on or watching CNN.”

Zeta-Jones’s representative said, “The rumor that Catherine and Michael are boycotting CNN is news to them. They support accurate reporting, which this rumor isn’t.”
A representative for Douglas separately said he had “no problem with going on or watching CNN.” The report attributes both comments to representatives, not to direct public statements by either actor.
How the boycott rumor began
According to the Yahoo News republication of Entertainment Weekly reporting, the rumor followed an appearance by the couple’s son, Dylan Douglas, on CNN’s NewsNight, where he debated commentator Scott Jennings. The report traces the initial claim about his parents’ displeasure to a post by gossip columnist Rob Shuter on Substack. Jennings later addressed the rumor on Meghan McCain’s podcast, Citizen McCain.
