Micareta é uma festa de carnaval realizada fora do período habitual do Carnaval. No Brasil, o termo costuma designar celebrações com blocos e, com frequência, trios elétricos; o formato varia conforme a cidade e a edição, e não há um único modelo obrigatório.
Como funciona uma micareta
A diferença principal em relação ao Carnaval convencional é a época: a micareta leva a celebração carnavalesca para outra data do ano. Em muitas edições, blocos percorrem um trajeto acompanhando trios elétricos. Esse arranjo é comum, mas trio, abadá, percurso ou uma programação específica não são requisitos universais.
A Secretaria de Cultura da Bahia descreve micaretas como carnavais fora de época que passaram a integrar calendários municipais. Assim, cada festa pode assumir características próprias de acordo com o contexto local.
De onde vem o nome e como a tradição começou
Uma publicação do Governo do Estado da Bahia relaciona “micareta” à expressão francesa Mi-carême. A mesma publicação registra que a Micareta de Feira de Santana começou em 1937, depois que chuvas durante o Carnaval levaram à transferência dos festejos. O documento resume o episódio assim: “A micareta de Feira de Santana teve início em 1937, quando as chuvas que caíram na cidade durante a realização do Carnaval motivaram a transferência da data dos festejos.” (Panorama Cultural da Bahia Contemporânea.)

Essa cronologia não deve ser tomada como uma origem incontestável. Um documento da Prefeitura de Feira de Santana registra relatos divergentes, incluindo atribuições a Jacobina, e ressalvas sobre os documentos disponíveis. O mais preciso é dizer que a micareta se consolidou na Bahia, enquanto as fontes consultadas divergem sobre a primazia e a cronologia das primeiras festas (História da Micareta, Prefeitura de Feira de Santana).
O que significa “Micareta São Paulo”
O nome se refere a edições paulistanas de uma festa de carnaval fora de época, não a um formato que seja diferente da definição geral de micareta. São Paulo tem registros desse tipo de evento em períodos distintos: a Folha de S.Paulo noticiou que o CarnaSampa aconteceu pela primeira vez em março de 1994, na Avenida Sumaré, e descreveu a micareta como carnaval fora de época associado ao interior da Bahia (Folha de S.Paulo, 31 de março de 1995).

Em 2022, a POPline anunciou uma edição da Micareta São Paulo de 16 a 18 de junho e descreveu uma programação carnavalesca com blocos, trios e diferentes espaços de música. Esses detalhes dizem respeito àquela edição, não a todas as micaretas (POPline, 24 de maio de 2022).
Reportagens publicadas em 2026 informaram que uma edição estava marcada para 4 de junho no Estádio Canindé, organizada pelo Grupo San Sebastian. A programação noticiada incluía opções como Circuito Total, Lounge POPline e modalidades premium nos trios de Claudia Leitte e Ivete Sangalo. O Bahia Notícias informou que as vendas começariam em 7 de abril pelo Sanfolia (POPline, 16 de maio de 2026; Bahia Notícias, 3 de abril de 2026).
