Paired with professional dancer Gustavo Viglio, she entered as a first-time competitive dancer and made it through to the second semi-final, where the audience vote ended her run.
Why Mia Fevola’s debut was a family milestone
When PerthNow profiled Mia on June 17, 2025, as the Australian series was beginning, the family connection was central to her story. Alex Fevola placed third on the show in 2010, while Brendan Fevola placed fourth in 2012. Mia had grown up watching the competition; in 2025, she experienced its rehearsals and performances herself.
She said she and her mother were both nervous before the show and that she confided in Alex. That shared experience linked Mia’s debut to her family’s earlier appearances, though the available reporting does not provide a fuller comparison of the contestants’ formats or judging across seasons.
Learning to dance under the cameras
A first competitive dance experience
Mia was paired with professional dancer Gustavo Viglio. PerthNow described her as a first-time competitive dancer who found the prospect of judges, a live audience and television cameras intimidating. She named the cha-cha and waltz among her favorite dances and said she was surprised by how fit she became during training; those are her descriptions of the experience, not independently measured fitness results.

Stepping into a character
