When did MHA: Vigilantes Season 2 come out?
Season 2 began broadcasting in Japan on January 5, 2026. ORICON’s January 2 preview listed the Japanese premiere for 10:00 p.m. JST that day. The series is therefore no longer awaiting a release date; the date above is Japan’s broadcast schedule, not a guarantee of the same availability or timing in every territory. The official anime site announced the season for 2026 on June 30, 2025, and later specified a January broadcast.
What is Season 2 about?
The Osaka opening
The premiere sends Koichi and Pop☆Step to Osaka for an idol event. There they encounter Fat Gum and Kaniko, an idol whose real name is Monica Kaniyashiki. The setup brings the story’s street-level hero world to a local event, but it describes the opening episode—not the entire season. ORICON’s January 2, 2026 episode preview gives these premiere details.
The announcement visual
The official Season 2 announcement visual features Koichi, Pop☆Step and Knuckleduster alongside a figure identified on the official page as “Scar-Faced Man.” The visual confirms those characters appear in the promotional image; it does not, by itself, provide a full season synopsis. The official announcement is the source for the visual and confirmation.

Is Season 3 confirmed?
No Season 3 order, cancellation or final-season announcement is established by the available official notices.
