Meghan Markle shared “Chantilly Lili,” a banana-pudding variation named after her daughter, Princess Lilibet, on April 2, 2025, in connection with the launch of her As Ever brand. Reports describing her New York Times Cooking video say it features sliced bananas, Chantilly cream, crushed Nilla wafers on top, and fresh berries and lemon. The complete original recipe—with verified quantities and method—is not established in those reports.
What is Meghan Markle’s “Chantilly Lili” dessert?
It is described as Markle’s take on banana pudding, with the name joining “Chantilly” cream and “Lili,” a familiar name for Princess Lilibet. ¡HOLA! USA, attributing its description to New York Times food writer Julia Moskin, says the dessert has sliced bananas and Chantilly cream, with crushed Nilla wafers sprinkled on top rather than mixed into the pudding. The same account reports fresh berries and lemon as elements of Markle’s variation on her grandmother Jeanette’s banana pudding.
The reported topping arrangement is a notable distinction from versions of banana pudding in which wafers are layered inside the pudding. The coverage identifies the dessert’s components, but does not establish a complete, reproducible ingredient list or method.
When and how did Markle share the recipe?
Markle shared the dessert on April 2, 2025, the day her As Ever brand launched. Tatler reports that she demonstrated it in a New York Times video. In the video, as quoted by Tatler, Markle called it “a delicious dessert named after our darling daughter. So so so good. As special and sweet as she is.”

A separate As Ever family-cooking moment
In a separate update published October 6, 2026, Vogue reported that an As Ever holiday-collection video included a scene of Lilibet helping make raspberry jam. That later appearance is family-cooking context, not a new announcement or a further detail about the 2025 Chantilly Lili dessert.
