The lawsuit accused blogger Milagro Cooper, who posts as Milagro Gramz, of spreading false information and sharing the video. On December 1, jurors found Cooper liable; a final judgment entered the next day records liability on three claims.
What Megan Thee Stallion testified about
Pete told the jury that the video severely affected her mental health and music career. CBS Miami reported that she described extreme emotional distress and hopelessness. The primary trial transcript was not located, so these are reported accounts of her testimony rather than transcript quotations.
CBS Miami also reported financial details given in court: a music producer testified that Pete missed at least four potential deals, each worth approximately $1 million, and Pete testified that a four-week therapy program cost $240,000. These were testimony and estimates, not independently audited figures; the reported potential deals were not the damages award.
What the jury decided
The December 1, 2025 verdict report from CBS Miami said jurors found Cooper liable and awarded Pete $75,000. A final judgment dated December 2, reproduced in the record for Pete v. Cooper, Case No. 1:24-cv-24228-CMA, specifies liability for:

The judgment also records the jury’s finding that Cooper was a media defendant with respect to the statements at issue. The award is distinct from the producer’s testimony about potential deals.
What Florida’s altered-sexual-depiction law covers
For the 2025 trial, the relevant text was Florida Statutes § 836.13. The Florida Senate’s 2025 statute defines an “altered sexual depiction” as a visual depiction modified to portray a realistic, identifiable person with another person’s or computer-generated nude body parts, or engaging in sexual conduct in which that person did not engage. The provision addresses specified nonconsensual generation and malicious promotion and allows an aggrieved person to bring a civil action for relief.

Pete’s lawsuit was a civil case under claims that included Florida law. It is separate from federal criminal enforcement under the TAKE IT DOWN Act. In a May 20, 2026 announcement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York described two arrests and alleged conduct under that act, which Congress passed on April 28, 2025. The office said the act criminalizes nonconsensual publication of intimate images, including deepfakes, and emphasized that the charged defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Those allegations are not part of Pete’s civil case.
