What dress did Meg Ryan wear to the 2025 Oscars?
Ashi Studio credited Ryan in a custom couture gown made of “deep ruby-red velvet” in its look credit published March 3, 2025. Ashi Studio’s Oscars look credit identifies the designer and fabric. British Vogue also identified Ryan in Ashi Studio in its 2025 Oscars red-carpet gallery.
What did the gown look like?
Coverage describes a floor-length velvet gown with a strapless neckline and slits at the sides. Woman & Home calls the dress burgundy and notes two side slits, while Glamour describes a low slit. Shade descriptions vary: Ashi Studio uses “deep ruby-red,” while other coverage calls the color burgundy or deep wine. Woman & Home’s Oscars coverage also describes her accessories as black platform heels, a statement diamond bracelet and three chunky diamond rings. Glamour’s account of Ryan’s Oscars looks covers both the ceremony and after-party.
How was the after-party dress different?
Ryan changed for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party. Glamour describes that separate look as a crystal-covered column gown worn over a flesh-colored slip. It was not the red velvet Ashi Studio dress she wore to the Academy Awards ceremony.

How to find a similar burgundy velvet gown
Ryan’s dress was custom couture, so look for a similar style rather than an identical retail version. Useful details to compare are the velvet fabric, a ruby or burgundy shade, a strapless or open neckline, a floor-length cut and the placement of any slit.
Woman & Home names the Maggy London Shirred Velvet Gown as a comparable velvet occasionwear option and lists it at Nordstrom. That is a look-alike lead, not Ryan’s gown; the article does not establish its current availability or price. Check the retailer for up-to-date details.
