Natalie Portman’s older children are Aleph, born in 2011, and Amalia, born in 2017. They are her children with choreographer Benjamin Millepied, whom she divorced in 2024. The title’s reference to two children now needs a current-day qualification: Portman had a third child with partner Tanguy Destable in August 2026, according to El País.

In an April 2025 conversation with Jenna Ortega for Interview Magazine, Portman said, “My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are.” ABC News / Good Morning America reproduced the remark in its coverage of her comments.

Portman has also explained why she keeps a boundary between her children and public-facing work. “I’m not a particularly private person in real life — I’ll tell you anything — but in public, it was so clear early on that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy gets respected a lot more,” she said. She added, “I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, ‘I’m not going to do photo shoots with my kids.’” Those comments, also reproduced by ABC/GMA, help explain why public information about the children is limited.
