What Jackman has said about Oscar and Ava
In a January 11, 2023 interview with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Jackman recalled taking his son and daughter to a screening of The Son, followed by a family conversation at dinner. At the time, he described Oscar and Ava as 22 and 17. He said, “What’s fascinating to me is my 22- and 17-year-old totally want to have those conversations.” Those ages describe the interview date, not their current ages.
The interview offers a dated glimpse of a conversation about a film; it is not evidence of the adult children’s present-day family relationships or private lives. The Academy’s account is available in its interview with Jackman.
