Children with Paulette McNeely and Tamara Hood
- Eric Murphy is Murphy’s eldest son and the child of Paulette McNeely. Good Morning America reported in November 2024 that Eric was engaged to Jasmin Lawrence.
- Christian Murphy is Murphy’s son with former girlfriend Tamara Hood.
Children with Nicole Mitchell
Murphy and Nicole Mitchell were married from 1993 until 2006, according to Good Morning America.
- Bria Murphy is their eldest daughter. She is an actress, with an appearance in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F noted in the guide.
- Myles Murphy is their son and is described in the guide as a writer. Myles and his wife, Carly, welcomed daughter Evie Isla in 2019.
- Shayne Audra Murphy is their daughter. She appeared on Claim to Fame in 2023 and described her father as “the best dad in the world,” according to the guide.
- Zola Ivy Murphy is their daughter.
- Bella Zahra Murphy is their daughter and is pursuing acting; the guide notes her role in Coming 2 America.
Children with Melanie Brown
- Angel Iris Murphy is Murphy’s daughter with Melanie Brown. Good Morning America reported that a DNA test confirmed paternity after a paternity suit.
Children with Paige Butcher
Murphy and Paige Butcher have two children together. Good Morning America reported that they became engaged in 2018 and married in a private ceremony in Anguilla on July 9, 2024.

How old are Eddie Murphy’s children?
PEOPLE’s November 2025 interview coverage reported that Murphy’s children ranged in age from 6 to 36 at that time. That is a dated range, not a current age list: birthdays have passed since November 2025, and a complete child-by-child age update is not established here.

In a 2022 interview with Marc Maron, quoted by Good Morning America, Murphy said: “My kids are smart and are trying to do stuff. I am so blessed with my kids.
