What was the Minecraft and McDonald’s promotion?
McDonald’s paired a themed meal and Happy Meal campaign with A Minecraft Movie. The adult meal combined a market-specific entrée with a side and drink, and included a collectible. Happy Meals featured film-inspired toys or figures. McDonald’s called it its “largest global campaign to date”; that is the company’s own campaign framing, not an independently measured comparison.
What was Nether Flame Sauce?
Nether Flame Sauce was McDonald’s limited-edition, hot sauce inspired by the Nether, Minecraft’s fiery dimension. In its US announcement, McDonald’s described crushed red pepper and cayenne balanced with garlic and sweetness. The company said customers could get the sauce with the McNuggets meal or add it to another order. The UK and Ireland announcement also described it as a limited-edition hot sauce and suggested it with McNuggets and fries.
How did the meal vary by country?
The promotion was not identical everywhere: launch dates, menu choices and details differed by market. McDonald’s announcements listed the following local versions:

What collectibles and game extras came with it?
In the United States, McDonald’s announced six collectibles for the adult meal and film-inspired toys or figures for Happy Meals. The global campaign announcement said meal collectibles came with a matching card and scannable code that unlocked a special in-game skin. Canada also described matching cards and codes for in-game experiences. These announcements establish what the campaign offered, not whether any code can still be redeemed.
McDonald’s Corporation described the campaign as “our largest global campaign to date” in a message attributed to Morgan Flatley. That wording reflects the company’s characterization of the promotion.

The cited announcements describe a limited-time campaign launched in 2025. They do not confirm current availability in any country in 2026. Check with a local McDonald’s for current menu and promotion details; an old announcement or collectible code is not proof that an offer remains active.
