Why is Callahan’s return dangerous for Mike?
Mike tells Kyle that Merle Callahan is in the adjacent cell. The brothers recognize the risk: Callahan could use Tracy to get to Mike. Mike tells Kyle that Tracy needs to leave Kingstown, but Kyle does not reveal that Callahan has offered him more than advice, according to an episode recap from TV Fanatic.
That concealed connection makes Mike’s warning incomplete. He knows Callahan is close enough to threaten the family, but he does not know the full extent of Kyle’s involvement. When Mike confronts Warden Hobbs about Callahan’s placement, she says she has filed to move him. The filing is a potential step toward separation, not confirmation that Callahan has been moved.

What happens to Ian and Robert’s witness?
In the parallel police storyline, Ian is facing a witness in Evelyn Foley’s case. Ian and Robert try to intimidate the witness; Robert then shoots him, and the two dispose of the body, according to TV Fanatic’s recap. Their effort to manage the case therefore becomes a far more serious crime, compounding the danger around the people trying to control Kingstown.
