Prime Video renewed Maxton Hall – The World Between Us for a second season, which premiered on November 7, 2025. Season 2 adapts Save You, the second novel in Mona Kasten’s series, and is available on the show’s Prime Video page. The story picks up after Ruby and James’s relationship is shaken by betrayal.
Was Maxton Hall renewed for Season 2?
Yes. Prime Video officially renewed the German Original series for a second season. Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung returned as Ruby and James, respectively, and UFA Fiction produced the series. Amazon’s renewal announcement also reported that Season 1 reached the top spot in Prime Video charts in more than 120 countries and territories and ranked in the top three in more than 50. Those are Amazon’s platform claims, not independently audited audience figures.
When did Season 2 premiere?
Season 2 premiered on November 7, 2025, according to Amazon’s pre-premiere article.

What is Season 2 about?
Prime Video’s synopsis says Ruby is dealing with the aftermath of a painful betrayal and wants her old life back. James regrets what happened and tries to win her back. Season 2 adapts Save You, the second book in Mona Kasten’s series, as RTL Group notes in its update on the show.
Who returned for Season 2?
Alongside lead actors Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung, RTL Group names returning cast members Sonja Weißer, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Huêt, Runa Greiner, Justus Riesner, Andrea Guo, Frederic Balonier and Eli Riccardi. RTL also identifies Ceylan Yildirim as head writer and Martin Schreier as Season 2 director.

What comes after Season 2?
Prime Video says Season 3 will be the final chapter and is planned to premiere on December 9, 2026. The date and final-season status appear in Amazon’s announcement for the Season 3 teaser.
