Matt Hardy’s preferred arrangement is for him and Jeff to spend more time in TNA, with WWE appearances as selective, short, high-impact runs—not a full-time commitment. He has also said the Hardys are discussing more WWE work, but no return date or specific booking was announced in the latest cited interview.
What Matt Hardy wants from the TNA–WWE relationship
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt said he would like to spend more time in TNA and see the partnership with WWE grow. He described WWE as viewing the brothers as “legacy acts,” framing his comments as his understanding of how the company could use them—not as a statement of WWE’s official plans.
His preferred balance is therefore two-promotion: keep working with TNA while making room for WWE appearances that draw on the team’s history. The reports describe a cross-promotion relationship, but do not disclose contract terms or specify how the arrangement works.
Why he favors short, explosive WWE runs
Hardy said the team is most effective in WWE when it makes a brief, energetic return. He suggested a run could involve NXT, Raw, or SmackDown, rather than a year-long commitment. That is his view of the best creative use of the Hardys, not confirmation that WWE has planned a run across those shows.

The distinction matters: a legacy appearance can create a focused moment around the brothers’ history without making either one a full-time WWE act. Matt’s comments express a preference for that format while keeping TNA central to their schedule.
What the February 2026 negotiations do—and do not—confirm
In an interview with Metro reported by Fightful on February 15, 2026, Matt said the Hardys were in “constant negotiations with WWE about doing some more stuff” and added, “We will do more with them.” He also emphasized that staying with TNA was important to him.

The Broken Hardys and Wyatt Sicks idea is only a possibility
Matt said he and Jeff would like to do something as Broken Matt and Brother Nero with the Wyatt Sicks, describing the idea as fun. He presented it as a creative possibility, not a match that had been booked or announced. No date, format, or opponent lineup was confirmed in the cited interviews.
