Spoilers: On Married at First Sight season 17, Chloe chose to stay married, while Michael chose divorce. Because they made different choices, their marriage did not continue after the experiment.

Why did Michael choose divorce?
A March 28, 2024 recap by Reality TV World reports that Michael said he wanted confidence and desire to continue a marriage, but was struggling to reach that point. That is the explanation attributed to him in the recap; it does not establish any unspoken motive.
When was their decision shown?
Lifetime’s season 17 episode listing dates “Decision Day Round One” to March 6, 2024, and “Climbing Down From Decision Day” to March 13. The later Michael-and-Chloe decision aired in the March 27 episode, according to the recap. Lifetime lists the Denver reunion in two parts, airing April 10 and April 17.

How did Chloe reflect on Michael’s choice?
In a reunion preview, Chloe referred to Michael’s “no” on Decision Day and described how it changed her interpretation of his earlier choice not to tell his mother about the marriage. Season 17 was set in Denver. Netflix Tudum’s cast overview describes Chloe as a senior director of development and Michael as a senior project manager in the technology industry. Michael had previously been left at the altar by his first expert-picked match before marrying Chloe.
