Spoilers: A January 2025 ScreenRant article framed an Instagram fan account’s posts as hints that Married at First Sight Season 18 could end with a “couple swap.” The season’s actual crossover involved Madison Myers and David Trimble, who were matched with other people. It was not an official expert-led rematch or a cast-wide exchange.
What did the January 2025 spoiler hint claim?
On January 20, 2025, ScreenRant’s Cher Thompson reported on updates from the Instagram spoiler account Mafs Fan. The article presented the account’s posts as a possible “couple swap” scandal that might produce two new couples. That was a fan spoiler and prediction, not confirmation from the show or its experts. The ScreenRant page was not directly accessible; its title, byline, date and summary were available through IMDb’s index.

Who crossed over during Season 18?
Season 18’s central crossover involved Madison Myers and David Trimble. Madison had been matched with Allen Slovick, while David had been matched with Michelle Tomblin. Retrospective coverage describes Madison and David developing a relationship while still assigned to their original spouses; it does not describe an official reassignment by the experts.
That distinction matters: “couple swap” is dramatic shorthand for a relationship crossover, not a formal exchange in which the show’s experts paired the participants anew. Nor does the available reporting establish that all four people agreed to a partner exchange.

Who were the original Season 18 couples?
The Chicago season began with five expert-matched couples. Netflix Tudum describes the format as singles meeting for the first time at the wedding altar, with experts pairing them based on personality, compatibility and long-term goals.

At the one-year reunion, they reportedly said they had moved in together. TV Insider later reported that they were engaged in 2026.

Those later developments describe what happened after the original marriages, not an expert-led swap during the matching process. The January 2025 ScreenRant piece was written before the season’s outcome was known.
