Warner Bros.’ official first trailer introduces Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights. The studio presents their forbidden passion as a relationship that turns “from romantic to intoxicating,” setting an intense, turbulent tone for the film.
What the first trailer reveals
The trailer frames the story around Cathy and Heathcliff’s consuming bond, with desire giving way to turmoil. Warner Bros. describes the film as “a bold and original imagining” of a great love story and promotes it as an “epic tale of lust, love and madness.” Those phrases are the studio’s promotional description, not an independent critical assessment.
