How do the characters connect to the story?
Robert and Jack
The men return to Italy to sell the villa they inherited from Robert’s late wife, Jack’s mother. The house is in poor condition, so repairing it forces them to work together while confronting the distance between them. Jack also looks for happier memories of his mother in the place connected to their family’s past.
Kate and Natalia
Kate, played by Lindsay Duncan, is an expatriate villa seller who catches Robert’s attention. Natalia, played by Valeria Bilello, is a local chef who becomes close to Jack. The official synopsis says Natalia’s jealous, threatening ex-husband puts her relationship with Jack in jeopardy.

Why is the villa important?
The villa is both the property Robert and Jack intend to sell and the setting for the film’s central change in their relationship. Its neglected condition gives them practical work to do together; its connection to Jack’s mother makes the renovation emotionally charged. The official synopsis puts the parallel directly: “As Robert and Jack painstakingly restore the villa to its previous glory, they also start to mend their relationship.”
Which Made in Italy film is this?
The cast in this guide belongs to James D’Arcy’s English-language 2020 film, with Liam Neeson and Micheál Richardson. It is distinct from Made in Italy, the 2018 Italian film directed by Luciano Ligabue and starring Stefano Accorsi and Kasia Smutniak. The latter film is identified on Medusa Film’s title page. Checking the year, director, or lead cast avoids confusing the two films.

Where can you watch or buy the 2020 film?
The official film website has a “Watch At Home” destination, but it does not establish a particular service or current availability by country. Apple TV’s catalog page identifies the 2020 film, but a catalog listing does not confirm that it can currently be streamed or purchased in every region. A DVD release is listed by Blu-ray.com; that listing is not confirmation of current stock or regional compatibility.
