Penguins of Madagascar is the lowest-grossing title among these four releases by the selected worldwide-gross measure. That placement does not indicate how it performed in any single country or how audiences rated it.

How to interpret the box-office figures
- Worldwide is not domestic. The ranking uses worldwide grosses consistently. A domestic total covers a different market and should not be substituted for a worldwide figure.
- Gross is not profit. Box-office gross does not subtract production or marketing costs and does not account for how theatrical revenue is divided among distributors and cinemas.
- The figures are not adjusted for inflation. They do not account for changes in ticket prices or purchasing power, so this is a nominal-dollar ranking rather than a comparison of estimated audience size across release years.
- Totals can depend on release grouping. Box Office Mojo’s Madagascar franchise record and its Madagascar (2005) title record show release groups and later rereleases, including a January 2026 rerelease. Its lifetime totals do not match The Numbers’ worldwide totals for some films. Mixing databases or release-group methods can therefore produce a different comparison.
For a consistent ranking, use one source and its stated measure. The Numbers’ figures above are the franchise-table totals checked on October 8, 2026; later rereleases or database updates may change reported lifetime grosses.
